Happy 1st Birthday Sugarlove Studio!!!

September 22, 2011 marks the day that I officially took a career change to follow my dreams in this photography journey full time. I didn’t know where it would take me or if I would succeed, I just knew that I needed to try. Trying to build any business takes a lot of guts and ambition. There have been days that I felt my most vulnerable with doubts, but I credit a very supportive husband and friends that have pushed me along whenever I felt like giving up. Mistakes have been made, all which have helped me grow stronger and more confident in that this is what I should be doing. My most gratifying moments, what keeps me focused is hearing the reaction of my truly appreciative clients. To everyone who has liked my images on Facebook, read my blog, given me love and support with words of encouragement, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Happy 1st Birthday Sugarlove!!!

To help celebrate Sugarlove turning one, I have a very special offer to share with all of you! Any portrait session booked during the month of September will receive $25 off & a FREE 11×14″ Canvas Gallery Wrap with one of their favorite images from their session! *Must be used during the 2012 calendar year and $25 deposit required to book. My Guy

Amazing day today with my awesome son – making new friends, skipping rocks, making wishes, pretending to be a superhero & just being a kid. ♥ my GUY!

8 month old baby D

This is my third time shooting this little cutie (if you count while he was in his momma’s belly along with his newborn shoot).  He couldn’t have changed anymore from the last time we met.  I’m so glad he forgot all about the many hours I spent trying to get him to sleep in tiny baskets because this time he could not stop smiling!  He was playful and really up for anything.  He might have even thought it was funny if I jumped in the river to make a shot. I can’t wait to finish out his ‘First Year’ photos when he turns one in November 🙂
